Meet Shannon

My Life and Work Philosophy

After 17 years of doing high-end, custom painting and hanging wall coverings in residential and commercial properties - all while working for other people - I launched out on my own. It is a crazy adventure that keeps me looking forward to the new friends I have yet to meet. I hope you will be one of them.

My work is not just work.  It is my art and something I take great pride and satisfaction in doing well.

That means using high-quality materials and taking the time to do things right.  For example, a great prep job takes longer and costs more but can save you money in the long run.  That's because - unlike some hangers - I prime walls so they are easy to remove years later.  When the prep stage is neglected, they are a disaster to remove.

It also means being someplace when I say I'll be there.  It means communicating well with clients to make the process as easy for them as possible.  And it means leaving their home or job site in better condition than I found it.  Not just when the job is complete but at the end of every day.

Finally, it means bidding with integrity.  It's common in our industry for subcontractors to bid low to get jobs while planning to add big cost overruns.  If I underbid a project, I eat the cost.  The only exception is an unforeseen issue out of my control such as a faulty product, an issue with the manufacture's adhesive, or a supply chain price increase.

My hourly rate is $650 per day, which is about $80 an hour. While I probably won't be your cheapest option, I try to be the best value. If you are reading this, you likely don't live in the cheapest neighborhood or buy your clothes at Walmart - you appreciate exceptional quality and don't want to have to pay twice to have the job done right.

I'm based in the tiny town of Francis in the Kamas Valley just east of Park City, Utah, and I serve not only Summit and Wasatch Counties but the Salt Lake City and Provo areas as well.  I'm fully licensed and insured.

Personal History

I grew up in Pennsylvania, moved west when I was 20, and never looked back. I like to say I was born in the East but made for the West.

My husband and I love the outdoors. When we aren't working, you'll usually find us exploring a trail, visiting a national park, or setting up a campsite alongside our two Golden Retrievers, Cessna and Zoomie.

Art is another love. I have sketched for as long as I can remember and discovered pen and ink drawing a few years ago. It opened a whole new world of texture and detail that fascinates me.

Whether I'm creating art on a cavas or the walls of your home or business, I love creating something beautiful we all will love.
